Telltale's adventures will be discounted on Steam to celebrate.

Sam And Max Turn 25, Sell Themselves Short

With each birthday that passes, I find myself crying into a birthday cake as I sob about wishing I'd accomplished more in life. It seems that Sam and Max also sell themselves short, but in a different (and far more entertaining) way -- no quarter-life crises for these guys. The entire series has turned 25 years old, and to celebrate, Telltale's episodic Sam and Max adventures will be heavily discounted on Steam next weekend.

The Sam and Max Complete Pack, spanning all three seasons of the series, will cost just $15. If you're only missing one or two seasons, fret not -- you'll be able to buy them separately as well for $10, with the exception of Season 3, which will cost $11.50.

The detective dog and the hyperkinetic rabbity thing were born as a comic book, and they made their way to computers in 1993 in the form of the excellent LucasArts adventure Sam and Max Hit the Road (which, sadly, is not a part of the Steam celebrations).

Mark your calendars for September 13th to the 16th, because that's when the discounts will burst forth in a happy, rabbity, wisecracking party.
