Improved access to Mallorca could help to increase property market activity, as investors try to capitalise on increased property numbers.

Budget airline Vueling is set to begin daily flights from London Heathrow to Palma as of March 23rd 2013.

Despite being a popular route, Heathrow has not offered the flight to travellers since 2009.

Vueling are hoping to fill the gap, with 75,600 seats available throughout the entire summer period, enabling more tourists to travel to one of the most popular Spanish isles.

With British visitors to the country only set to increase, many people will be looking to take advantage of low Spanish property prices and favourable tourism conditions.

Marc Pritchard, sales and marketing manager for Taylor Wimpey Espana, stated: "Mallorca has always been a firm favourite - it's easy to get to, offers sunny days and the most beautiful scenery.

"To highlight its popularity, has recently identified that Mallorca is the number one destination for people over the Jubilee week."
