Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes claims he has learned a harsh lesson following the club's relegation to the Championship.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes claims he has learned a harsh lesson following the club's relegation to the Championship.

Fernandes estimates he has sunk £50m of his personal fortune into QPR club since he took over at Loftus Road in August 2011.

"I don't think I will be exploited any more," Fernandes said. "I think I allowed myself to be exploited but that's my choice.

"It's all part of the football ecosystem."
