British traffickers are involved in smuggling migrants into the UK from northern France, a mayor has alleged.

One migrant, who said he had spent £15,000 so far on trying to reach the UK from Syria, also said many of the criminals were British nationals.

The Russian Defense Ministry has dismissed as nonsense a report in the German press that bombs with the inscription "To Berlin!" were attached to aircraft during a Russian Air Force exercise.

"This is simply nonsense or a photo compilation or a wish to simply play with anti-Russian sentiments," a source at the ministry told Interfax on Aug. 12.
